What to check, in order
- Close the lid and press Start/Pause
For safety, the washer won't spin unless the lid is closed.
- Check the fuse or breaker
Frigidaire lists a blown fuse or a tripped circuit breaker as a cause.
- Straighten the drain hose
Look for kinks, especially if the washer was moved or the hose was bumped, and clear any clog in the hose.
- Check the standpipe
It can't be more than 96 in (244 cm) high and needs to be at least 1¼ in (32 mm) across. Don't fit the hose too tightly, and if it's taped in, don't make the seal airtight: the pipe needs air to drain.
- Check the pipes and the detergent
Look for clogs in the drain pipe too. Too much detergent can also stop the washer draining properly.
When to call an engineer
If it was installed or moved in the last 30 days, contact the installer. Otherwise, contact Frigidaire to schedule service.
Good to know
- Frigidaire also warns that a standpipe too far from the washer may not work properly. If you can, move the washer closer.
