Baxi error codes
Baxi gas boilers show a code on the display when they stop. The Duo-tec, Platinum, EcoBlue, Assure, Megaflo, Main Eco and Baxi 600 and 800 Combi and System boilers use E and a number, such as E133 or E118. The newer Baxi 200, 400, 600 and 800 Combi 2 and System 2 boilers use a longer format, such as H.02.07. Some displays split a code in two: Baxi says E133 alternates between E1 and 33.

Boilers 8 codes
E133 Won't light: gas supply or frozen pipe
The boiler tried to light and couldn't, so it has locked out.
E119 Shut down: condensate pipe may be frozen
Baxi's help pages list E119 among the codes a boiler shows when it has shut down because its condensate pipe may be frozen.
E118 Water pressure too low
Baxi lists E118 as low water pressure: below 0.5 bar in the heating system.
H.02.07 Water pressure too low (newer models)
The water pressure in the heating circuit is too low.
E128 Flame keeps going out
The boiler has locked out because it lost its flame too often.
E125 Water isn't circulating
Baxi lists E125 as a water circulation fault.
E110 Overheated and shut down
The boiler got too hot and a safety cut-out stopped it.
E160 Fan fault
Baxi lists E160 as a fan fault.
No codes of that type for this brand.
Good to know
- If you smell gas, call the gas emergency number, 0800 111 999. Baxi's advice is to open doors and windows, turn the gas off at the meter unless it's in a cellar or basement, and not use electric switches or naked flames.
- Baxi says the water pressure should be between 1 and 2 bar. Its winter advice gives 1 to 1.5 bar.
- Baxi's reset advice: if the boiler locks out often, that means there's a fault, and you should contact your installer or a service engineer.
- Baxi's code list for engineers also covers Potterton Assure Combi and System boilers.
- Baxi's frost advice lists E28 among the codes a frozen condensate pipe can cause, while its list for engineers gives E28 as a flue temperature sensor fault. If the weather isn't cold, don't assume the pipe is frozen.
