Robot vacuum error codes
Roomba errors are mostly about something stuck: a wheel, a brush, the bumper or a dirty sensor. Most take a couple of minutes to clear.

Each code opens its own page with the maker's checks and a verdict.
Error 1 Wheel hanging down or stuck
A drive wheel has dropped or got stuck, usually because Roomba is on an obstacle or uneven ground.
Error 2 Brushes can't turn
The main brushes can't turn: the rubber brushes on e and i series, the debris extractors on 800 and 900 series.
Error 5 Drive wheel jammed
A drive wheel can't turn.
Error 6 Drop detected: check the cliff sensors
Roomba thinks it's at a drop.
Error 8 Vacuum motor struggling or filter clogged
The vacuum motor is having trouble spinning, or the filter is clogged.
Error 9 Bumper stuck
The bumper is stuck and isn't moving freely, usually because debris is trapped behind it or it has come loose.
Error 10 Wheel not turning or not sensed
A drive wheel can't turn, or Roomba can't sense it.
Error 11 Vacuum not working
On the e and i series, the vacuum isn't getting enough airflow.
Error 14 Bin not detected
Roomba can't detect its bin.
Error 15 Internal error, usually self-cleared
Roomba had an internal error and was able to deal with it itself.
Error 16 Tilted or bumped at the start
Roomba couldn't start cleaning because it's tilted, or its bumper may have come loose.
Charging Error 5 No charging current reaching Roomba
Electrical current isn't reaching the robot from the dock.
