Push the door until it clicks. Check nothing is caught in the door or the rubber seal, like a sleeve or a sock.
- Check the child lock
An active child or control lock can stop the machine starting, and on some models brings up a door code.
- Look at the catch
The hook on the door should line up with the slot in the machine and not be bent or cracked. A sagging door hinge can stop it lining up.
- Switch off and try again
Switch off at the wall for a few minutes, then start a new programme. That clears a one-off glitch.
