What to check, in order
- Reset it
Press Cancel, or turn the power off at the breaker for 5 minutes.
- Start a new cycle
If the code doesn't come back, carry on as normal.
When to call an engineer
If a reset doesn't clear it, call for service.
A repair visit will usually check the heating element, its temperature sensor and the wiring back to the control board.
Before you book
- Note the model and serial number. They're on a label on the edge of the door or the side of the tub.
- Write down the exact code, and what the appliance was doing when it appeared.
- Check whether it's still under warranty. If it is, the repair may cost you nothing.
Good to know
- Hd or HO on the display is not a fault. The dishwasher is heating the water, which takes about 1 to 2 minutes for each degree it has to rise.
- Frigidaire's manual asks for hot water of at least 120°F (49°C) at the dishwasher. If yours is cooler, raise the setting on the water heater.
- Some Frigidaire dishwashers show E60 for the same fault. Frigidaire's 2023 use & care guide gives it the same meaning.
