Bosch E16 error code

Door not closed or not locked

The washer can't confirm the door is properly closed and locked. E34 (F34 on older models) means the same thing: the door didn't lock properly.

What to check, in order

  1. Close the door until it clicks

    Firmly.

  2. Check for trapped laundry

    Especially with a full drum. Open the door, push the laundry back or take a few items out, close it and press Start.

  3. Restart

    Switch the machine off and on, then start the programme again.

When to call an engineer

If it keeps happening, the door lock may be faulty.
