No power to the heater

The dryer can't detect any current at its heater, so it won't heat. LG says this normally points to the electrical wiring in the home.

What to check, in order

  1. Check the plug

    The power cord should be pushed firmly into a grounded outlet that matches the dryer's rating plate: 240 V.

  2. Reset the breaker

    Turn the dryer's circuit breaker off for at least 10 seconds to clear any power surge, then back on.

  3. Have the outlet checked

    If it continues, LG suggests a licensed electrician checks that the outlet is supplying the right voltage.

When to call an engineer

If the outlet is fine and nP stays, LG says the dryer needs service.
