What to check, in order
- Fix the load size
LG suggests filling the drum to about two-thirds. If the load is small, add one or two similar items.
- Leave out problem items
LG says not to machine-wash waterproof clothing, because it can damage the washer. Rugs, mats and electric blankets can be damaged too, and for pillows you should wash only the covers. A single laundry net washed on its own won't balance either.
- Level the washer
Adjust the feet with a wrench until the machine doesn't rock.
When to call an engineer
Only if it keeps happening with normal loads on a level washer.
