What to check, in order
- Open the hot water valve fully
It's under the sink nearest the dishwasher. It's often not fully on after first use, after plumbing work, or after the supply was turned off.
- Check the inlet hose
Make sure it isn't kinked.
- Check it's level
A dishwasher that leans forward or back can make the water look low in parts of the tub.
- Clear the code
Select another cycle option, then set it back to the one you want.
When to call an engineer
If the valve is fully open, the house water pressure is fine and the dishwasher is level, GE recommends a service call.
Good to know
- If H2O only appears on the 1-Hour Wash cycle, GE says to schedule service. You can keep using the other cycles until then.
