The door isn't fully closed and latched, so the cycle won't start. Some models show Cd instead.

Before you start

  • Low risk: nothing to open up.

What to check, in order

  1. Close the door firmly

    Make sure it's completely closed. The code goes off once it is.

  2. Check the kick plate

    It can sometimes stop the door closing completely.

  3. Pressed Start with the door open?

    Close it within a few seconds of pressing Start: Frigidaire's guide says 5. If PRESS START shows, press Start again and close the door.

When to call an engineer

If the door won't close or latch, Frigidaire says to contact service.

Good to know

  • LOC on the display is not a fault: it means the door is locked.
