What does the Samsung 1E error code mean?

Usually a filter problem. On US Waterwall models, water isn't getting through the filter. On UK and Australian models it shows as 1C, a low water level, and the first check is the filter too. On US and Canadian models with rotating spray arms (rotary models), 1E and IE mean something else: the inside is too hot, the same error as HC.
