What to check, in order
- Switch it off
Turn the dishwasher off.
- Press every button
Touch each button in turn. Physical buttons should move freely and spring back.
- Dry the panel
Wipe any moisture or dirt off the controls with a dry towel.
- Tap, don't hold
Samsung Australia notes that bE2 or bC2 appears when a button is pressed for more than 30 seconds. Use quick taps.
- Reset the power
If it's still there, Samsung UK suggests switching off at the breaker for 10 minutes, then starting again without holding any button.
When to call an engineer
If a button is damaged or stuck down, or the code keeps coming back. Samsung says to contact its service centre.
Good to know
- Samsung UK lists bE3 and bC3 separately, for a touch panel that acts erratically after getting damp: dry it thoroughly, switch off for at least 30 seconds and use brief taps.
