What to check, in order
- Check the detergent
Look for foam in the tub. Samsung UK links this code to the wrong detergent or too many suds, so use dishwasher detergent only, and not too much.
- Clean the filter
Take out the filter at the bottom of the tub and rinse it.
- Check the drain hose
It shouldn't be kinked, and the dishwasher mustn't be sitting on it.
- Check for standing water
There shouldn't be water standing in the base.
- Work through the drain checks
Samsung US handles OC with its drain advice, so check the sink, the air gap or high loop, and the sump as well: see 5C.
When to call an engineer
If water keeps coming in, or the code comes back with the right detergent and a clear drain. Book a Samsung repair.
