What to check, in order
- e and i series: clean or replace the filter
Then run Roomba again.
- e and i series: reboot
iRobot's Error 11 page says to hold the CLEAN button for about 20 seconds. That clears the error from the robot's memory.
- 800 and 900 series: the bin
iRobot gives no home fix. A replacement AeroForce bin may be needed.
When to call an engineer
e and i series: if it continues after a new filter and a reboot, iRobot says the Cleaning Head Module needs replacing. 800 and 900 series: a replacement bin.
Good to know
- iRobot's i series chart describes Error 11 as the vacuum motor not starting; its Error 11 article for the e and i series talks about too little airflow. The steps are the same.
Parts people end up buying
Only if the checks above point to a part. Match it to your model number first: it's on a label on the underside, often under the dust bin.
