What to check, in order
- Refit the bin
Take it out and slide it back in until it's fully seated.
- i series: check the filter
Make sure the filter is fitted properly in the bin.
- 600 to 900 series: clean the bin contacts
Wipe the contacts on both the bin and the robot with lightly dampened melamine foam, such as a Magic Eraser.
- i series: reboot
If it still shows after you've refitted the bin, reboot Roomba.
When to call an engineer
If the error persists, iRobot says you may need a replacement bin.
