Hotpoint F11 error code

Pump circuit fault

Water stays in the machine and won't pump out. It's like F05, but the fault is reported in the pump's electrical circuit.

Same code on Indesit, and on Whirlpool machines sold in the UK and Europe.

Before you start

  • Unplug it before you touch anything inside.
  • Turn the tap off before you undo any hose or filter.
  • If it stopped mid-wash, let hot water cool before you drain it.

What to check, in order

  1. Rule out a blockage

    Hotpoint gives no self-help steps for F11, but cleaning the pump filter (see F05) costs nothing and is worth trying first.

  2. Reset

    Unplug for 2 minutes and try again.
