Before you start

  • Unplug it before you touch anything inside.

What it means

Samsung's control kit manual says: 'Normal flow rate error: in case of normal flow rate in 10min during water pump signal is OFF'. The Installer Reference Guide calls it 'Flow Switch Close Error'.

What to check, in order

  1. Note what else is running

If your system has another pump, for example on a boiler or a second heating zone, note whether it was running when E912 appeared. Samsung's service manual lists 'Check the extra pump' as a check.

  2. Write the code down

Note the code and the time it appeared for your installer.

When to call your installer

Call your installer. Samsung's service manual has the engineer check the flow sensor connector on the main board (PBA) and check for an extra pump in the water circuit, then replace the flow sensor or the main board if needed.

A repair visit will usually check the pump, the filters and strainers, trapped air and the flow sensor.

Before you book
  • Note the model and serial number. They're on a label on the rating plate on the outdoor unit, and on the indoor unit or cylinder.
  • Write down the exact code, and what the appliance was doing when it appeared.
  • Check whether it's still under warranty. If it is, the repair may cost you nothing.
