What to check, in order
- Check the outdoor unit has power
Samsung's service pages say indoor and outdoor communication errors can happen when power to either unit is cut. Check the isolator next to the outdoor unit and its breaker in the consumer unit are on.
- Reset once
Switch the heat pump off at its breakers, wait about a minute, then switch back on. This is the reset Samsung suggests for communication errors on its air conditioners.
- Write the code down
Note E202 and any other codes such as E101 or E201, and when they appeared.

If the code comes back, call your installer. They will check the outdoor unit's power supply and the communication cable and terminals between the indoor control kit or hydro unit and the outdoor unit.
