What to check, in order
- Reset it
Switch the washer off at the wall for 1 minute, then start a new programme.
- Look for leaks
Check around and under the machine for water.
- Run an empty cycle
Samsung US suggests a cycle with no laundry and no detergent, in case leftover suds are confusing the sensor.
When to call an engineer
If the code stays and there are no suds to blame, the sensor or its thin air tube needs an engineer.
A repair visit will usually check the pressure sensor and the thin air tube that connects it to the drum.
- Note the model and serial number. They're on a label inside the door, around the door frame or on the back.
- Write down the exact code, and what the appliance was doing when it appeared.
- Check whether it's still under warranty. If it is, the repair may cost you nothing.
