Circuit boards can't communicate

The main control board has lost contact with another board: the display board or, on AC6 and AE6, the motor's inverter board. 13E is the older version of AE.

    Switch off and unplug for a minute, then start a new cycle.

If it comes back. Board faults are a job for an engineer.

A repair visit will usually check the connectors and wiring first, then the control boards themselves.

  • Note the model and serial number. They're on a label inside the door, around the door frame or on the back.
  • Write down the exact code, and what the appliance was doing when it appeared.
  • Check whether it's still under warranty. If it is, the repair may cost you nothing.
